I have lived and worked in Cambodia for ten years in various trauma-related fields, including residential treatment centers, shelters, and vocational training for trauma survivors. It has helped develop my passion for seeing people heal from past traumas so that they can live their best and fullest life.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I focus on looking at an individual's environment to explore how it has shaped the impact of current issues. Utilizing a strengths-based approach, I look to utilize the tools and resources individuals, couples, and families already possess to facilitate growth, development, and positive change.

My focus as a therapist is to create a person-centered safe space for people to explore their stories. I employ a systems approach where I look to examine the presenting problem in the larger context of an individual's environment. I employ elements of Bowenian family systems as well as Trauma Focused CBT and various mindfulness techniques.

Areas of interest include:

  • Couples and therapy and relationships

  • Children and family dynamics

  • Sexual trauma

  • Holistic wellness and lifestyle

  • Identity, self-esteem, and self-awareness

I am passionate about helping people. Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy music, fitness, reading, travel, riding my motorcycle, and spending time with my wife. I am also a big believer in times of restorative quiet and decompression and creating a space for the mind and body to rest.
