Children & Parenting Support

We support parents and children to have healthy attachments and emotion regulation.

Parents and caregivers often bring their child to therapy for emotional, social, and behavioural support. Therapy can assist parents and children to learn new skills and ways to communicate in the family, build emotional regulation skills, and facilitate positive changes within a safe environment.

Our psychologists use a relational, person-centred approach with parenting that focuses on facilitating healthy attachments, building empathy, and enhancing emotional expression and regulation skills in the family.

Once a parent intake session is completed with one of our psychologists, your child may have one-on-one or parent-child sessions to work through their concerns and learn effective strategies and tools. We work closely with you as the parent to provide feedback on how your child is going in therapy and will also teach you strategies learned in sessions so that skills can be translated from the therapy context to home and school.
