I’m Ruby, and I am currently a psychologist intern at Sombok Psychology. Following my graduation from university, I worked for a few different nonprofit organizations before I had the great privilege to start working at Sombok as a Practice Manager. As I served in this administrative role for two years, my interest in psychology grew, and I decided to pursue a career as a psychologist myself. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys and achieve their personal goals—first as an administrator and now as a therapist.
As a psychologist, I believe in a client-centered approach, where the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
My approach to therapy includes CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based practice, and psychoeducation for my clients. I am excited to be on my learning journey in psychology, and I enjoy working with clients to help them to safely explore, express themselves, and heal.
My areas of interest include
Anxiety
Depression
Stress management
Children and Adolescents
Childhood Trauma
Self esteem
When I am not in the therapy room, I like to play music, check out new spots in town, and learn new things. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
